Promises of Eternal Hope
But the LORD is the true God;
he is the living God and the everlasting King.
At his wrath the earth quakes,
and the nations cannot endure his indignation.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting!
Amen and Amen.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,
that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
. . . but whoever drinks of the water that I will give
him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in
him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and
forever.
When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the
mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?”
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they
follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one
will snatch them out of my hand.
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first
heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and
they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”
And night will be no more. They will need no light of
lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever
and ever.
